Hadn't intended to post today, but I'd like to share something I just ran across in my visits to the blogs of friends.
Ken Devine is a Brit, a resident of Newark-on-Trent, who is in the process of relocating to Brittany in France. He writes a daily blog, intended chiefly as a family journal, but wonderfully entertaining in its human insights and social commentary. He is a regular visitor here and mentioned the other day that he does some painting. Well, he sure does! I'd like to encourage all to take a look at the following: Voila!

Thank you for sharing Ken with us, he is a fabulous artist!
Marlene,
It struck me, thinking about it, that Ken's work must be that of a recognized, professional artist. I googled Ken Devine and found indeed that his work is offered for purchase on several sites. I found an extended bio, which Ken must have written himself because it's both entertaining and self-deprecating. I realize now that he is relocating to Brittany in order to paint full-time, not to retire. Altogether, I'm very pleased to have such a friend.

Thanks, Robert. His paintings are beautiful. I enjoyed the visit.
I'm touched! Thank you very much for such a glowing post. It was a shock for me to see it.
It has helped to confirm that I'm going in the right direction in deciding to stand up and continue to chase my dream. I guess it's only over when you stay down.
Ken
I posted a respose to your comments but it seems it didn't register.
It was just to say thanks for a 'glowing' report on me...something of a rarity I must say. It really was a pleasant surprise and the shockwaves are still registering.
Enjoy your break!
Randi, thanks. I think everyone who takes a peek over there will be glad they did.

Ken, somehow my comments setting got set to pre-approval. I hope I've straightened it out.
You are most deserving of a "glowing" report, believe me. We are all pretty much in awe of your work -- and envious of your future plans. Imagine being a full-time artist in the countryside of France. The stuff of dreams.
