I'd guess that you offer your kids what's needed the most -- comfort or advice -- calling on a pretty sure instinct in the matter. But that's just a guess.

Thanks, the truth is that nearly every thought is selected from many options (as Liz demonstrates above.) It's when I can't decide on the best that I throw it open to readers. I've just spent a most enjoyable morning reading your blog archives with my coffee. I was so disappointed to come to the end of your blog, even though I had finished the coffee long before.
