"First God created time; then God created man that man might, in the course of time, perfect himself; then God decided that He'd better create eternity."

Today's Multiple Choice Thought

Lovely thoughts -- certainly provides fodder for pondering. Thank you!

I'm glad you're back! Thanks for giving me something to think about today. Here's one for you, borrowing your template, of course:
"Our most difficult task as a parent is to offer comfort instead of advice when our children fall."
Liz,
I'd guess that you offer your kids what's needed the most -- comfort or advice -- calling on a pretty sure instinct in the matter. But that's just a guess.

Hi! Fabulous collection of quotes! I love them all...the first one about God - perfection and eternity is just great.
...they're all really great...
My answer to the multiple choice question is 'D'
and I would also include :The Kitchen:
... especially when it is I who cooks ~ love must compensate for the lack of skill :)
~Maria
Maria,
Thank you -- the kitchen, absolutely! I guess, when you get down to it, a loving touch compensates for an unskilled hand about everywhere except in an airplane cockpit.

haha! DEFINITELY! still smiling about that one!
:o)
Cool, a post from you! I've never been able to stay away from my website either, anytime I've said I was going to.
Totally enraptured with the multiple choice / make your own quotes. It takes much talent to write those!
Speaking of create your own, thanks for inspiring me to action... http://quotegarden-terri.blogspot.com/2009/07/under-every-full-moon.html
Terri,
Thanks, the truth is that nearly every thought is selected from many options (as Liz demonstrates above.) It's when I can't decide on the best that I throw it open to readers. I'm glad to see that your "Under every full moon..." contest got such a nice response. I left a thought of my own over on your blog site.

Very nice one, thank you! It's a good thing you're not on Twitter or I might have to put in the rules "relatives and Robert Brault are ineligible" because you'd probably win every contest!
I've just spent a most enjoyable morning reading your blog archives with my coffee. I was so disappointed to come to the end of your blog, even though I had finished the coffee long before. However, I'm really looking forward to going through it again. And incidentally, I'm vastly impressed with the variety and quantity of your Thoughts. It's so hard to come up with just one, and you have hundreds.
Haloranch,
Thanks so much. I find it hard to come up with just one also, which is why I post hundreds. A buffet is easier to turn out than a gourmet entree.

You make me laugh!
