rb,
I love the first one. The problem comes when we wake up to the fact that the rest of the world has no understanding of how awesome we are!
The second one makes me think of Obama. He seems perfectly willing to give that which is not his to give.

I really love the first thought -- because I believe I've been lucky enough to have stumbled onto that 'one'.
Liz,
Thanks, as always, for your comment. I'm going to skip a response to the political reference, except to say that my thought related only to youthful idealism.
Jan,
You and I both. Lucky ones, I guess.

Good Morning!
"Often what seems a kindness is just someone acting in their official capacity as a human being."
...or in their official capacity as a bird ;o)
post from Wings n Things showing a wren feeding a stowaway cowbird chick...I'd like to think the wren was being kind ~ all the best, Maria

Maria,
If you get me thinking about kindness in birds, I'm lost for the day. But I had a bird friend once who used to say, "A lost chick is everyone's chick."

I love the human being one, wow, you always have a way with words.
Sometimes, I am surprised and at a loss as to why strangers or others will do some of the things they do. I have come to learn the joy in giving and it's only taken me XX years. Ha ha.
I was told on the weekend, that one of our goals may be to learn things like this closer to the 'younger' end of the scale, vs the 'older' end of the scale. I would love to learn all the a-ha's of life sooner rather than later.
Thanks for sharing so many.
Daisy,
A belated thanks for this comment. The "aha's of life" is a neat turn of phrase that I wish I had thought of.

you know youth always want the things as easier as possible, a weekend to go out and spend some money in silly things but the truth is you got what you give.
