Thoughts on Sticking To It

"To blame fate is to mistake the drift for the tides."

"Though the barriers of life seem formidable, we find when we challenge them that they have no will to resist."

"They who succeed never make the reward their goal."

"Stubbornly persist, and you will find that the limits of your stubbornness go well beyond the stubbornness of your limits."

"Most obstacles in life have no power to stop you but only to make you stop yourself."

"Why would you want to be somebody else when there is only one you and 6.6 billion somebody elses?"

And one from the archives...

"We all have our limitations, but when we bend to our critics, we also have theirs."

I've just got to use one of these very soon and I think it'll be the obstacles one.
Thanks Robert.

Wanda,
Ah, a keeper -- what every quotesmith aims for. I, too, am most glad that you found this blog and especially so because you're gracious enough to comment. Thanks.

Ken,
Thanks. I've designated you my official UK distributor. The check, as always, is in the mail.

...and that's when having a bit of stubborn persistence comes in handy ;o)

Mr. Brault
I was looking for quotes last night online and I started writing down some of the ones that I really liked. It was only after I went back to read my new collection of quotes that I realized that they were all yours.
So thank you for your witty words of wisdom and truth.

Much Inspired,
Whitney Duncan St. Mary's County, MD

Maria,

I did respond to you, but I just noticed that it didn't post. I guess some obstacle stopped me, which shows what I know. The birds are having another tough time today (Saturday), it appears.

Been having a rough time for the past month. I come to your blog everyday in search of wisdom. Everything you say is what keeps me holding on.

Sharon,
I have found, in my own rough times, that if I refocus away from my own problems, and look to offer help to someone else, in whatever way I can, it gets me back into circulation, into the stream of social contact, and opens up possibilities I never saw. You have to remember that everyone is struggling, is vulnerable, and the way out of your own problems to help other people with theirs.
