Robert, every single one of these are incredible! I've lived them all.
If I'm forced to choose one it would be "It is one thing to show your child the way, and a harder thing to then stand out of it."
"Do something each day that makes you feel guilty for wasting your time." would be a close second. And for humour..."Ballroom dancing is a meeting of the eyes, with various options for keeping the feet separate." But then again.."As to my own dancing, I have many times tripped the light fantastic, but she always gets back on her feet."
Now what man doesn't identify with these?
These are all wonderful, Robert~
"Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life."
Sometimes, the greatest challenge in life is hearing the music~
Ken,
I've also lived most of these myself, especially the part of the dance floor bumbler. If I were counseling parents, I'd tell them this, "If you don't teach a boy anything else, teach him a basic dance step."
Maria,
Yes, and not just marching to your own drummer but occasionally noticing the violins.

I love the one about eavesdropping on when others talk about you - it is so true. Many people are *SO* afraid of what others think or might say about what you're wearing, what you're saying, what you're doing, when the reality is, it doesn't matter. Few really notice/pay attention! It's our ego's that think people are talking about us.

i love this. (: You are so wise. i'm glad to have stumbled upon here.
Daisy,
Yes, people have their own lives to live. As I once said, "The thing about being self-conscious is that it keeps you from being ignored completely."
MunTeng,
Thank you and welcome. Yes, sometimes a miracle is the only reasonable explanation.

Ha! I have two. One is a three-legged Westy and when she tries to balance on the tripod and cover up the mess she's made, she misses it by a mile. I hope I have better success covering up my messes!
Love this one - Do something each day that makes you feel guilty for wasting your time."
Now I have permission!
april,
I don't give permission; I give license. So have at it!

I was in need of reading something special today, so I decided to browse your blog.
The great thing about it is that I always find that something.
Sometimes you make me think, sometimes you make me laugh and most of the times you make me nod in agreement.
Such a great journey.
Thanks for the words and for the memories.
Izabel,
Thanks again for taking the time to comment. It's encouraging to know that a post deep in my archives is not forever lost.

Bob, your thoughts on the dance of life are all exemplary...food for thoughts so to speak. Life is a journey that one must master in order to enjoy fully. With all your genius thoughts you inspire people around the globe...you encourage those who in some ways are still grieving and most of all you strengthen the heart with a SMILE...Robert Brault surely delivers a "Slice of HEAVEN" to SOMEONE. God bless!!!

Thanks so much for the kind comment. It is so much more generous than the dime you used to leave under my pillow.
