Today I ran across a quote of mine that was attributed to "Robert Brault, 1938-2009". Come to think of it, I do recall a large family gathering last year.

Each one of these is a treasure. I can't even pick a favorite! Well, maybe this one, but only because it applies to me personally...

;)
Good Morning Robert, loved them all. These are a great way to start my day. Thanks.

*Smiling at this one...
Glad to see you back. You were missed.

Hi Robert!
I laughed out loud at the siblings and fractions quote... My younger brother used to count the potato chips {a real treat at our house back in those days} When he'd get to the broken ones, he would actually divide those proportionately. It's no surprise I did well in geometry!
I don't remember many dreams either.
My daydreams keep me busy though :o)

Take care!

ps. Did it rain cats and dogs in CT too?
pss. A little extra note ~ My father is convalescing here after his fall a couple of weeks ago. He broke his right collarbone and can not use his cane. This causes great instability for him ~ so he's staying with us while he mends and rebuilds strength. Since Sunday was such a rainy day, one of the things I did was show him what "blog land" was all about. Of course, one of my stops was right here. We enjoyed so many of your posts. He laughed and commented on many of your quotes. There were some that lead to interesting conversations!
Thank you for "being here." Your blog is such a gift in so many ways~
your quotes are so refreshing. thanks. thanks for your comment on my blog as well as the poem yes, different strange feeling if we shot photo at the same place. will do #2 this week. have a good day. rose
"A friend is someone who, when you're lost and adrift, shows up to tell you you've been found alive and well." each one is a gift - beautifully wrapped & sweetly presented Robert - you are adding so much to so many. Grateful
Wonderfully humorous and precious. I'm glad I found you.
Sue,
What a virtuoso array of fiction, verse and commentary your blog has offered recently. You are a pro, and I take considerable pride in your visits here. Thanks much.
Marlene,
Early congrats on your upcoming 200th post! I had fun with the zentangle in your latest ("Zen Jungle"), although I suspect it would have been easier if I had two good eyes. Keep up the good stuff.
Ariana,
Just want to say "thanks" again for the ingenious (and sometimes titillating) backdrops you find for my quotes. I don't want to even think about what you'll come up with next (Yes, I do.)
Karla,
I've appreciated your several visits here, although my efforts to track you down seem to lead to Facebook and Twitter, where I become totally lost. Thanks for kind comments.
Maria,
Ah, siblings. I was one of four boys, so I became an expert on what 1/4 of something means.
Spent Sunday on the deck, watching the rain pelt down on the parched terrain around my house. More rain in one day than we've had in six weeks. A Godsend!
I'm so pleased that your father found a bit of diversion in my writings. I send a fervent hope and a small prayer that he mends quickly.
Rose,
Joan and I walked to the Eiffel Tower from Ste. Germain, about three miles along the Seine. We turned off a broad avenue onto a little side street, having lost sight of the tower, and suddenly there is was, looming full length behind a cluster of trees, just as you caught it in your photo. We took the same snapshot from the same spot. Small world!
Raj,
Greetings. Your post, "...just a handful" well describes how I feel about the small group of friends who regularly comment here. And, yes, as you beautifully express, it is quite enough to have touched "a handful" before you "depart for the next abode."
Valerie,
You commented just as I was about to post this. I'm delighted to discover "Joy in the Rain." Thanks so much for including a thought of mine.
smiles all,
rb
It's been raining for days and making life sort of damp and grey...I was feeling cut off, and this one today morning picked me up..
"A friend is someone who, when you're lost and adrift, shows up to tell you you've been found alive and well." Thanks Robert!
khushi,
Let me be the friend who shows up to tell you the sun will shine again.
smiles,
rb
Your "gentle touch" is warmly acknowledged & deeply appreciated Robert, as always. Its said that a fine teacher is like a bird flying in the sky - you know its there but it does not leave any trace!
Hey Robert! I, like so many others, just love your thoughts and quotes. My favorite one this time is the same as my pal Sue...1st comment above!! She and I are kindred spirits, I do believe! Thank you again for always making us smile, laugh and be inspired!
Raj,
Thanks, friend -- but I can't resist noting that a bird flying in the sky all too often leaves a trace. (smile)
BECKY,
As with Sue, I count any appreciation from you as professional approval. Thanks.
smiles,
rb
Becky told me she had commented here about our being kindred spirits, so I came back to read what she had said.
Happily, I also found your lovely comment to me.
You have definitely made my day!
=)
