"If you've never experienced the magic of love, what part of abracadabra don't you understand?"
"Love is not a difficult concept. If you can understand living in a parallel universe, you can understand being in love."
"If you could find happiness by abandoning those you love, exactly what would you do with it?"
"Not everything I do each day is out of love or a promise made, but I make it a point to get those out of the way first."
"Can you have a feeling of responsibility toward those you love? I don't think so. It's either a feeling of responsibility or it's love."
"While debating the question, what is love, yield to all desperate desires to make someone happy."
Pardon if I get a bit personal...
"Even though you're 100% sure that the woman you love will be there for you in a moment of need, it's still one of the greatest feelings in life when the moment comes and there she is."
"I love my wife, and I desperately want to make her happy, but she happens to be a woman you want desperately to make happy whether you love her or not."
Some miscellaneous throw-ins...
"If you keep your happiness under lock and key, where do you keep your unhappiness?"
"I have a simple role model. Each morning I gaze at the eastern horizon, and if the sun keeps its promise, I keep mine."
"I suppose I could limit my actions to those which yield me personal profit, but why would I wish to limit my actions?"
"My health plan doesn't cover dental, so I enrolled my teeth as 32 dependents, each needing a complete physical once a year."

I LOVE your writing Bob! I just published a link to this page today on my web log. Thanks & Cheers!
It's hard to pick favorites when every single quote is so appealing, but here's my best effort at doing so:
"Can you have a feeling of responsibility toward those you love? I don't think so. It's either a feeling of responsibility or it's love." (I'm feelin' ya here.)
"If you keep your happiness under lock and key, where do you keep your unhappiness?" (And interesting thought!)
"I have a simple role model. Each morning I gaze at the eastern horizon, and if the sun keeps its promise, I keep mine." (LOVE this one.)
=)
Wonderful! Love it, love it! Thank you for great thoughts!
I just need to say "Ditto" every time I stop by! And especially to Sue's favorites!
Wonderful as ever!!
i love that last one =)
Thank you for your beautiful, kind words, my love...
Robert, you never disappoint me when I drop by to visit. Wish we could do it over a shared cup of coffee or fine tea. I keep hoping and believing that some editor/publisher/agent who isn't in obsessive pursuit of profit or doesn't have his/her head positioned where only a proctologist can find it will pay attention to the uniquely thoughtful, humorous, wise and witty things you write. Hope you and Mrs. Brault have a really beautiful and meaningful holiday season. ~donkimrey@gmail.com
Thank you for being so consistently wise and good, and for being willing to share your wisdom and goodness with us.
Thank you all for kind words. I'm especially pleased that you like this collection, which is personal in many respects. It's good of you to comment. I will not be posting for a while but will likely be back before Christmas with a holiday message.
smiles all,

"Abracadabra." What an amazingly magical word. It makes your imagination soar just to say it. Pair it with love and the possibilities are endless. Hope the Christmas season is magical for you and that wonderful woman you love and delight each day.
I was looking for a good quote to use on my blog tomorrow, as I feature a quote every Sunday. I found one of your quotes, then your blog. LOVE IT! I am going to link your blog to A Penny For A Thought so that more people can find you.
Keep up the wonderful work!

I just wanted to say that I always enjoy the thoughts you share here. This time I especially enjoy:
"Can you have a feeling of responsibility toward those you love? I don't think so. It's either a feeling of responsibility or it's love." - This is really relevant to me right now, and has helped me understand myself that little bit better.
I've spent the time since this last post looking at your "NEXT POST: INDEFINITE" and it has only just struck me that this is a time-frame and not a subject. Amazing how the obvious can sometimes pass us by.
Jonathon,
Thanks, and welcome. Glad to have said something that hits home. I've substituted December 9 for INDEFINITE, and just hope I can come up with 10 or 12 thoughts on the subject of Dedcember 9.

I've been reading your quotes for the last year or so, and I always enjoy what you have to say. Thank you.
Sister's Sunshine,
Thanks for stopping by. Yours, too, is a blog richly rewarding of a visit. Love your style.
