As a Californian, I'm not sure I should be chuckling at this one...
;)
PS But I am!

(lol lol that was hilarious)..Nobody Aunt knocks..lol
Thanks RB for that saturday morning laugh..and for letting me share your brain on occasions
Hi Robert
I've sat at this keyboard for a while thinking about KFP's comment about sharing your brain. The turn of phrase has taken me by surprise and am now lost in a thick fog of thought minutes before hitting the pillow. This is not good news as it will prevent the other fog from taking over.
Seems to me there is always more love found at second (and third and fourth . . .) glance than at first sight. LOVED it!
...you ARE a cynic!!! and i loved them all!!...hahahaa!! ..."and it tasted like chicken!"
Grateful once again Robert - for such fine touch for the heart, head & hand ! Am sure it helps "find your soulmate", certainly has a "reason also a lie",as one looks for "love at second glance". Delicious!
Sue,
I've been to California twice in my life and experienced earthquakes both times. I'll try to stay away.
Karen,
You're always welcome to share my brain. Plenty of unoccupied space.
Ken,
Actually, my best thoughts come to me while I'm in that other fog.
Jan,
True love, I think, grows with every sighting.
Nina,
Yes, I AM a cynic but a lovable, cuddly one.
Raj,
"Delicious" is what I was aiming for. Thanks.
smiles all,

I try
"Don't be afraid to try something new...the old crappy way is always available." i say this often and thought this might be in one of your archives, written a little more eloquently.
Just me,
The saying is all yours. In my experience, the newer the crappier.

Love your Edison quote. It reminds me of Twain's comment that civilization is a limitless multiplication of unnecessary necessaries.
I guess it must be good to know you found true love. The sensation of loving and being loved back.
For me the intense feeling of love comes from looking at my girls and realising what an imense miracle I am a part of. Nothing has ever surpassed that.
Hi Robert! I never can choose a favorite, but at this very moment, I particularly like the one about the Empire State Bldg....Ahhhh, "An Affair to Remember". In the final scene of that fabulous movie with Cary Grant & Deborah Kerr, my husband and I can say the dialogue right along with them! (my husband's a pretty cool guy!)
nothingprofound,
Twain and I both lived for many years in Hartford. Must be something in the water.
Izabel,
If there is anything we truly define for ourselves, it is love.
Becky,
Here's a confession: I met my wife at the top of the Empire State Building -- a fated meeting between a girl from a small town in Arkansas and a guy who had taken a job as a security guard at the top of Empire State Building in order to meet girls. (All true, except for the part about the guy and the girl.)

Hi Robert!
Visiting your blog during my lunchtime!
"To accept on faith is the basic requirement for getting on with life."
I like this one very much ~ perfect for all generations!
"A requirement of any happy moment is that we be aware it will end and normal life will resume."
Happiness - momentary
Joy - eternal
Thank you for the lunchtime smiles!
~Maria
I always find a smile on my face after visiting your site, Robert..what better gift could I possibly receive?!! Thank you, my friend!!
Maria, Nina
Our Resident Cynic sends his thanks but absolutely cannot fathom all this smiling.
I am very happy with my indoor plumbing. :o) Still looking for that soulmate though, but I am rarely in places I don't like.
This quote reminded me of one of mine.
"To accept on faith is the basic requirement for getting on with life."
"To sit in a chair, you give it faith. To lay in bed, you are faithful. To fall asleep, you give in to faith. We do this unknowingly, and are completely oblivious. But if one were to think, this chair has no faith in me, should I put faith in it? Would one ever sleep again?"
Dylan,
Nice thought. I confess that I have occasionally placed faith in a chair. As for having enough faith to fall asleep, maybe some day.

Maxie,
Please forgive me for not noticing your comment these several months. I have so much enjoyed your recent reminiscences about your life as a young bride in the South.

Have you ever ever thought about adding just a little bit more than simply your thoughts? I mean, what you say is important and everything. But its received no punch, no pop! Possibly in the event you added a pic or two, a video? You can have such a more highly effective blog in the event you let people SEE what youre speaking about instead of just studying it. Anyway, in my language, there are not a lot good supply like this.
How to turn....,
If I'm writing things with no punch, pictures and videos won't help. The solution is to write punchier things.
