Nice crop today, Robert! (What else is new?)

If I had to pick three, these would be my favorites...

"Despite the goings-on in Congress, I don't believe the USA is bordering on madness. I believe Mexico and Canada are."

"All parties are masquerade parties. Even "Come as you are" is an invitation to come in your usual disguise."

"What do we ask of government but that it weigh our needs against the other fellow's wants."

I liked "If you remember it......happiness," perhaps it's because I'm moved to tears of joy more often. And I loved the "All parties are masquerade parties..." They are too...:))

I love this one!!! I could read it everyday and still be tickled pink every time! :D :D :D

"Given Einstein's definition of insanity, I do wonder if the sun rises every morning expecting a different result." This was funny to! :D

Love reading your posts! Whenever there's a new one in my google reader, I save it for last and go back to it throughout the week to savour the thoughts. <3 Keep posting! :)

Sue, khushi, teachersuz,

Thanks for kind appreciation -- and for taking the time to select favorites. It's helpful to know what strikes a chord. Have a great weekend.

Good morning Robert. I enjoy reading all your quotes but today the one that keeps me smiling is:
"Despite the goings-on in Congress, I don't believe the USA is bordering on madness. I believe Mexico and Canada are."
Truer words than we probably want to hear.

Hi Robert
Yes, the goings-on in Congress quote is quite special and is as funny as the paralysing illness quote is true. What we ask of government is the third that really caught my attention. Thank you for posting these...and the rest of this crop.

I have to say you have quickly become one of my favorite authors. And i truly mean that. I'm sure u are a very busy man, BUT maybe 1 day, when u're in the mood for diving into a deep, complex never ending mind, u should head on over to my blog and check it out. It would mean the world to me for u 2 give me some advice. I can't tell you how much i admire your work and respect you as a writer. Hope to hear from you soon:)God bless! http://kaylakabree.blogspot.com/

Marlene, Ken,
Thanks. Whenever the well is running dry, I can always fall back on a comment or two about politics and government.

Kayla,
Thanks for your comment. I took a peek at your blog -- and you're right about the deep and complex. Also right about the never-ending. But it's good stuff, and I'll return when I have more time and leave you my thoughts.

smiles all,

G'day Robert,
"If you remember it without tears, it wasn't happiness."

I feel much better now. Thank you, and cheers.

Hey Robert,

I've been writing a bit in a blog myself and I have to say that I often click over to yours when I notice a new post and I always seem to find one little phrase that matches up with a feeling or a thought I've been thinking of tinkering with.

"If you remember it without tears, it wasn't happiness."

I do believe this put a few things into perspective for me, much as your words of simple wisdom often do. Thanks for the perhaps inadvertent resolution for me. Keep it up.

Anon,
Thanks for the comment. Seems we're related on the red wine side of the family.

Paul,
Thank for friendly words. Your blog reveals an introspective and highly articulate fellow. You're on my list of folks to whom I owe a lengthy visit and a thoughtful comment.

Hate to be a bother but I didn't get an email. I attempted to remedy the comment issue so that might be fixed but you could resend the email to pdhenderson1@gmail.com if that would help. Thanks so much!

Paul,
Looks like my comment worked this time. Don't hate me too much for the candor. You're a fine writer, but you need to put yourself in the hands of a disciplined editor -- and, by default, that's you!
