Final Thoughts for 2011

"Once an absurdity is accepted as truth, it will seem truer the more absurd it is shown to be."

"The strongest marriage is between two who seek the same God, the strongest friendship between two who flee the same devil."

"Most often, the person you would die for would settle for dinner and a movie."

"There are days when you need someone who just wants to be your sunshine and not the air you breathe."

"Eventually you realize that not all opposing viewpoints come from people who oppose you."

"The choice so often these days is to believe something that seems insane or go insane."

"There is no tomorrow.  There is only a planet turning on its axis, and a creature given to optimistic fancies."

"If the human race ever becomes civilized, it will be the story of how a species called man became woman."

"It is not easy, the choice between God and the devil, for it is presented to us as a choice between forgiveness and understanding."

"Basically we are all looking for someone who knows who we are and will break it to us gently."

So true. But I also liked the one about our chosen one breaking the reality of who we are to us GENTLY. My husband certainly does that. A more wonderful man never lived.

Merry Christmas to you and your wife. Oh - and the recipients of your calendars loved them! Many thanks for providing such pleasure.

I love the feminist perspective there in the thought about the human race becoming civilized!
