I Know This About Reality...
"I know this about reality -- that it is better fashioned from hope than despair."
"Some live in reality, some in a dreamworld, and all die not knowing which."
"How small a nod it would take, how fleeting a smile, to give everyone you meet today a sense of worth."
"I don't lie and cheat, but I don't always avoid actions that would be lying and cheating if someone else did them."
I think that God has thus instructed His answering service: "When they pray for understanding, give them hope."
"What is reality but the dreamworld of a limited imagination."
Thought on my grandson's 13th birthday: "No one ever enters their teen years with a well-thought-out exit strategy."
"There is a what-the-hell moment in life when you feel you have been pre-punished for every sin you'll ever commit."
Overheard at a gravesite: "And they all said 'I'm sorry for your loss,' as if you were someone who could ever be taken from me."
"There comes a time when something you love no longer is, and what sustains you is knowing that there will never come a time when it no longer was."
