And funny you should say that it's too good for the blog, and you're saving it for the book - it makes me realize that some of us only get as good as our blogs - there is no holding back for the book! And I mean that in the best way because I've got nothing more to save it for!

I'm not sure what it is about dog quotes of yours that just appeal to me... even though my dog never brings me my slippers.

To be clear, my kid is not average. He is absolutely exceptional at many things, and exceptionally terrible at other things.

It's just the cliche (very politically incorrect) that a woman's curiosity is more apt to be directed to what's going on about her, as opposed, say, to gazing at Mars. Of course, birdwatchers would point out that binoculars also have scientific uses. Anyway, it's really hilarious, right?
