Thank you for my new motto,Robert. "Pick one!" I hear so often from people, "I just can't forgive and forget. It was too painful." You don't have to do both. Just pick one. Love it.

I agree about the capacity to be appalled. TV especially seeks to desensitize us with its barrage of gore and horror. My son last night even asked if we could just watch educational stations so he knows there will be no scary commercials. Being appalled means my soul is still alive.
